Since launching Learn French in Vancouver in 2017, we’ve helped over 4,000 students achieve their language goals—whether learning from scratch, passing the TEF exam for Canadian PR, or simply falling in love with French culture.
Now, we’re bringing our passion and expertise to Calgary learners! Our native French teachers, with years of experience across Canada and Europe, are ready to guide you through our proven programs—Online & In-Person classes in Calgary.

Lea
- Founder
Lea, originally from Tours, France, founded Learn French in 2017 after moving to Canada. What started as a passion project in Vancouver has grown into a trusted school helping thousands of students across Canada, including many who have successfully prepared for the TEF exam.
Now leading the Calgary expansion, Lea brings her “French Transformation” program to local learners, offering the same personalized and community-driven approach that made the Vancouver school a success.
Aurelie

Aurélie (alias Lily), originally from Chantilly, France, brings her global experience and passion for languages to both our Vancouver and Toronto students. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, she helps students find the perfect path, from beginner courses to private lessons and TEF preparation.
She also leads our marketing and sales strategies to ensure that Calgary learners discover the right programs for their needs.
Aurélie teaches the following classes:

Originally from a small town near Paris, Mai brings over eight years of experience as a language coach for CEOs and professionals. After living in New York, Paris, and Montréal, she joined Learn French, helping students build real-life conversational skills.
Now, Mai also supports Calgary learners through online & in-person French classes, making sure every student’s journey is smooth and personalized. Her coaching style blends empathy and energy, making her classes engaging and highly effective.

Eloise
- Vancouver
Eloïse, from Belgium, is passionate about languages and cultural immersion. With years of teaching experience in Europe and Canada (including TEF and SLE preparation), she helps students build the skills they need for Canadian PR or personal goals.
Now part of our Calgary team, Eloïse teaches TEF preparation and intermediate French online, bringing her warm and structured approach to students across Alberta.

Marion
- Vancouver
Marion, from Rouen, France, has a deep passion for teaching and cultural exchange. After starting her journey in Vancouver, she has taught hundreds of students through group and private classes, helping them reach conversational fluency.
She now brings her experience and enthusiasm to Calgary students, teaching online French courses tailored to the local community.

Noelie
- Vancouver
Noëlie is from Bourges, a well-known city for its music festival and architecture in France. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Sociology/Public policies, she decided to discover life abroad. In 2012, she starts a new chapter in Vancouver. Discovering the multicultural life and how French could be an asset, she decided to become a professional French Tutor.
On the side, Noëlie enjoys writing articles about culture, society, or stories. She worked for a local newspaper before being a freelance writer. Words always take place in her life in order to connect with people.
Working for different schools, she has been a certified DELF-DALF A1-C1 examiner and corrector since 2017. Sharing a language means sharing culture for her, building bridges to discover each other in some other ways. She considers learning a language is an exchange opening new perspectives.
Noelie teaches the following classes:
Sabrina
- Gastown, Vancouver
Sabrina is a French Canadian born in the small village of Montebello, Québec. After earning her diploma in Languages, she decided to follow her first love—la langue française. In 2016, she moved to Whitecourt, Alberta, to support French immersion teachers by leading engaging learning games for students from kindergarten to grade 9.
After this enriching experience, she returned to Montebello as a substitute teacher before heading back west in 2018, this time to Vancouver, where she has been tutoring French ever since.
Sabrina has a passion for adventure, laughter, and discovering new cultures, languages, and cuisines. She speaks French, English, some Spanish, and is currently learning Thai, Japanese, and Korean. Her curious and friendly personality makes her classes fun and approachable. Her students—mainly kids and teens—feel at ease with her and proud of their progress.
Eloise teaches the following classes:
Anne
- Vancouver
Originally from Paris, Anne found her roots and inspiration in the sun-soaked, culture-rich landscapes of southwest France. With a deep passion for education, empowerment, and exploration, she moved to Canada about 20 years ago and has lived in Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and, for the past decade, in beautiful British Columbia.
Anne studied Business and Management and began her career in the tech industry. Driven by a desire to make a more meaningful impact, she transitioned into education and is now a dedicated Business and French instructor.
A true globetrotter, Anne often teaches classes while traveling and brings that spirit of adventure into the classroom. She’s passionate about helping students unlock their potential and experience the richness of the French language in an immersive, dynamic, and engaging way. In her spare time, she enjoys food, learning new languages, hiking, paddleboarding, exploring nature—and cheering on a good rugby match!
Anne teaches the following classes:
Apsara
- Vancouver
Apsara’s journey began in Paris, where she studied law and philosophy and discovered her passion for teaching early on—leading classes for first-year law students while still at university.
Her academic exchange in Copenhagen sparked a love for travel that took her across South America. She eventually settled in Santiago, Chile, where she began teaching French at the French Institute. Her students appreciate her lively, engaging teaching style, enriched with cultural insights, fun facts, and recommendations for French films, music, and podcasts that bring the language to life.
Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, Apsara creates a warm, immersive environment in her classes. Outside of teaching, she enjoys hiking, climbing, and watching great films.
Apsara teaches the following classes:
Daria
- Vancouver
Daria, originally from Belgium, combines her love for psychology, speech therapy, and the arts to create fun, interactive French classes. Her experience teaching French and performing on stage gives her a unique, vibrant style.
As Learn French expands into Calgary, Daria is excited to share her passion for the French language and culture with Alberta-based learners, particularly those looking for group or private classes online.

Pauline
- Vancouver
Originally from the north of France, close to the Belgian border, Pauline has always been passionate about discovering new places and experiences. She has lived in Scotland and Switzerland before embarking on her journey to explore Canada. Her love for discovery encompasses new countries, languages, people, and even culinary and musical experiences.
Pauline’s first passion is food, but she also enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, and attending concerts and festivals. After eight years of working in human resources with companies in France and Switzerland, Pauline decided to change careers, diving into the world of teaching French as a foreign language—a field she finds fascinating. Pauline loves interacting with her learners on a variety of topics, teaching them while also learning from them every day.

Delphine
- Vancouver
Delphine grew up in a small village near Lyon, surrounded by nature. Passionate about the arts, she studied fashion and theatre in Paris and became a fashion designer. Curious by nature and eager to explore new cultures, she has traveled extensively across Europe, visiting cities like Rome, Florence, Berlin, London, and Lisbon.
In search of a new adventure, she moved to Canada two years ago, starting in Montréal before settling in Vancouver. Friendly and attentive, Delphine loves meeting new people and creating meaningful connections. For her, teaching French is not just about language—it’s about sharing the richness of francophone cultures.
Delphine teaches the following classes:
Johann
- Vancouver
Originally from Paris and Brittany, Johann is a dynamic and creative professional with a deep love for language, sports, and adventure. With a background in event coordination, communication, and marketing for major international sports events, she brings a unique energy to her classes.
A gymnast since childhood, Johann still practices the sport and enjoys beach volleyball, sailing, skiing, and hiking. Her adventurous spirit has taken her across Australia, Oceania, and Asia. After five years in Montréal, she has now made the West Coast her new home.
Johann’s classes are fun, interactive, and infused with her enthusiasm for French culture and the outdoors. She loves helping students gain confidence and joy in speaking French.

Martha
- Vancouver
Martha comes from Nîmes in southern France and grew up in a vibrant Franco-Spanish household. After studying business, she moved to Canada and has been working in education since 2012.
She holds a Provincial Instructor Diploma from VCC and has taught everything from French immersion to HTML and Git at BCIT. Today, she leads French conversation labs at Douglas College and is preparing for formal FLE studies to deepen her expertise.
Fluent in French, Spanish, and English—and currently learning Italian and German—Martha is a true language enthusiast. Her classes are warm and welcoming, focused on building confidence and community through language.

Virginie
- Vancouver
Virginie, from Alsace, is a communication consultant and French instructor with a love for cultural exchange. She has taught students of all levels to express themselves confidently in French.
With Learn French’s Toronto expansion, Virginie is now part of our online French classes in Calgary, sharing her knowledge and creative teaching style with new students.
Virginie teaches the following classes:
Angélique
- Victoria
Angélique is from Bordeaux—yes, the land of wine and Les Girondins! A seaside lover at heart, she traded the Atlantic coast for the Pacific and now lives in beautiful Victoria.
She is a journalist, filmmaker, and project manager, and has been teaching journalism, event production, and French since 2012. Also a poet and spoken-word artist, she created the “Poetic Circle,” a space where mindfulness meets creativity.
With three master’s degrees, including one in Educational Sciences specializing in pedagogical innovation, Angélique brings a rich, artistic, and engaging approach to French learning. Her classes are a journey into both language and culture.

Camille
- Vancouver
Camille was born in Franche-Comté, a region in Eastern France known for its delicious cheese and wine. She spent ten years in Paris, where she worked as a Product Manager in a movie distribution company before deciding to explore life abroad.
In 2017, she moved to Canada in search of a better life balance—and quickly fell in love with the mountains and ocean of the Vancouver area. A true outdoor enthusiast, Camille enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and rollerskating in her free time.
A passionate traveler, she has explored around 20 countries and loves discovering new cultures. For Camille, learning a new language is much more than grammar—it’s a window into people, stories, and ways of life. She brings that spirit into every class, creating a warm, engaging environment where students feel encouraged to learn and grow.
