Up to 50 points land on your Express Entry score just for having French, and IRCC holds rounds only for French speakers. Saskatchewan's own provincial nomination stacks on top of that for candidates who qualify for it.

In the provincial capital, French pulls triple duty
Government offices, Crown corporations and a real French-speaking community all sit inside city limits, so learning French here does more than raise a score.

SINP helps. French adds a separate edge.
Saskatchewan runs its own Provincial Nominee Program, and candidates generally find it one of the more reachable routes to a nomination. Whatever your SINP path looks like, French does its own separate work on the federal side: it can lift your Express Entry score and put you inside draws that ask for it specifically.

The University of Regina hosts La Cité universitaire francophone, the Fransaskois community association (ACF) has its Regina office at Carrefour Horizons, and the city has two French-language schools. The community is smaller than in bigger cities, but organized and easy to find.
Capital jobs
The jobs a capital city creates
Regina is where Saskatchewan's government sits, along with its Crown corporations and a cluster of federal offices. Between them, they post bilingual roles that ask for French as an asset or a flat requirement, jobs an English-only resume never even reaches.
